Why do we call it Good Friday if that’s the day that Jesus died?
Good Friday is the day that WE focus especially on the cross and Jesus' sacrifice for the sins of the world. The cross is a central symbol of the our faith. The cross reminds us of Jesus' death and our salvation, how Jesus saved us from death by dying in our place. Jesus, died to save all believers from sin,. Jesus put himself in the place of every believer's sins as he suffered for the whole world by sacrificing his own life.
. Good Friday is a time for us to remember Jesus' sacrifice and reflect on how the cross has saved us from our sins.
Celebrating Good Friday means you understand the crux of Christianity. Good Friday is good because that is the day that we celebrate and honor the fact that Jesus Christ chose to die for us.WE live in the hope of new life after death, just as Jesus was raised from the dead on the first Easter.
"By the cross we, too, are crucified with Christ; but alive in Christ. We are no more rebels, no more servants, but sons!"
